#EveryDollarBecomesTwo – Join us as we team up with TOUCH Community Services to support individuals on their journey towards mental wellness.

TE Capital Partners and TOUCH Community Services aim to raise $40,000 to make this programme a reality. TE Capital Partners have pledged to match every dollar that is donated up to $20,000.

The funds raised will be used to provide subsidised counselling sessions for over 50 adults aged 26 years old and above, who may be struggling with mental wellness. The sessions typically cost an estimated $80 to $100 per hour per session before subsisdy.

October is a month when the focus is on raising awareness of the importance of mental wellness.

In 2016, the Singapore Mental Health Study found that one in seven people in Singapore has experienced a mental disorder in their lifetime. With the transitions and stressors in life, many adults can be at risk of having suicidal thoughts, breakdowns, or even being diagnosed with depression, anxiety or eating disorder.

TOUCH Community Services has been promoting mental health awareness in the community through workshops/talks, themed runs and concept trains since 2015. It has worked with schools and organisations to equip students and employees with handles for mental wellbeing and help them build resilience.
